2011 EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR

Central Maine Credit Union announces that Karen Giguere has been named Central Maine Credit Union’s 2011 Employee of the Year. Karen has been employed by the Credit Union since 2007 as a Member Service Representative. She was selected for her pleasing personality, her knowledge of the responsibilities of the Member Services Department and her exceptional service to members. She exemplifies a strong worth ethic and is a role model for her coworkers.

In addition to providing exceptional service to Central Maine Credit Union members, Karen also participates in many community activities including the March of Dimes Walk, the American Heart Walk, Relay for Life Cancer Event and fundraising for Ending Hunger in Maine Campaign. Karen resides in Auburn with her husband Rick and their son Zachary.

  Trina Mercier Receives Jeanette G. Morin Award   for Outstanding Credit Union Employee     Trina Mercier (r) with Tammy Creswell of Maine Highlands FCU, the 2010 recipient   At the Annual Awards banquet for the Maine Credit Union League held in Augusta in May, Trina Mercier was honored for her accomplishments by her peers and associates from among more than 2,000 credit union employees.   Described as a "Jill of all trades" by her co-workers, Trina has worked a variety of positions since joining the Credit Union in 1996. She has been a teller, a computer clerk, operations specialist to her current position of  Assistant Vice President of Operations.   One of the accolades included in Trina's nomination was her "sense of humor and willingness to do whatever is necessary to help our members."

Central Maine Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of Michelle Harris to Financial Services Administration Supervisor. Michelle started as a teller with the Credit Union in 2003 and has recently held the position of Compliance Specialist. Her responsibilities include overseeing the loan administration department and assisting members with their financial accounts.
